My story

I am lucky to have grown up in a family that provided me with a solid foundation of good dietary habits. Real food was what's for dinner - protein, carbs, fats and veggies at every meal. And regardless of busy sport/work schedules, at dinner time we sat down and ate together as a family. No foods where forbidden, but there was a good balance and a clear distinction between everyday-foods and special occasion treats. I believe this has given me a healthy relationship to food and has, to a large extend, formed the pillars of my nutrition coaching - a simple, sustainable approach with focus on quality foods, in the right quantity, with an understanding of the social aspect of food.

My life has always evolved around sport and fitness - first gymnastics, then exercise science in college and later CrossFit. Before I was old enough to participate, my parents would bring me to my sisters' gymnastics training, camps and meets. This turned into a profound passion for the sport and for physical activity in general. Growing up in Denmark I practiced competitive gymnastics from a young age up until i started college and began to look for new ways to stay in shape. I was first introduced to CrossFit in 2010, and the challenging technical movements, combined with the competitive elements and the heavy lifting, got me hooked at once.

Between 2012 - 2014 I spent a year in Mexico, studying abroad and completing my thesis on the cultural dependence on childhood obesity in Mexico, then moved back to Denmark for a brief period to finish school, after which I packed my bags to start my life with my (now) husband in the US.

Once settled in the US, I began coaching CrossFit and pursuing further education in nutrition. I was also chasing a dream of competing at The CrossFit Games, and although I didn’t quite make it there, I did compete at the South Regionals as an individual in 2017 and 2018. I am proud of this accomplishment and grateful for what it has tought me about the mental and physical aspects of training and competition, appropriate on/off season nutrition, and last but not least about myself.

My competitive CrossFit career is now behind me, but I am as passionate about training and nutrition as ever, with my new goal of staying fit and healthy for my family, while I juggle life as a stay-at-home/ working mom.

Over the past 5 years, my business has grown as I have grown in my different roles in life, but my focus has always remained consistent; helping people reach their goals through sustainable dietary strategies and personal coaching. I am currently located in Colorado, but work with clients all over the US and in Denmark.
